The key feature that won me over? The most visible one? Spell checking. I haven’t installed a spell checker plug-in for WordPress, and, while I have good spelling skills, I still mess up sometimes — either through typos or a couple words I just don’t spell well. And it works. “WordPress” is highlighted right now. Which makes me wonder if there’s a “learning” capability.

One thing I’m not crazy about is the larger tabs. My default “home page” is 12 different tabs that all open when I open Firefox. The way it is now, I have to scroll to access all my tabs. Maybe a future version will have variable tab widths (hint, hint).

I even went a little overboard and (gasp!) downloaded one or two themes beyond “default.” I’m using Orbit Blue, and it’s not too bad.

Regarding spell check, I think it only follows for the current paragraph, because all the WordPress entries above aren’t highlighted anymore. I’ll see how it goes. By the way, when I installed a much earlier version of Firefox last year, I did it as a trial. After the first use, I made it my default browser, and I haven’t looked back. Give it a shot. Here’s the link for the US English version.

I installed Firefox 2.0 tonight. The key feature that won me over? The most visible one?
