This is the final weekend before National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) kicks off. Now is a good time to take care of little things before the frenzy begins. So what have I been doing?<\/p>\n
That’s about it. This will be a seat-of-the-pants NaNo this year, so I haven’t done very much outlining. I don’t even have a good book in mind. But I’m still going to do it. I’m comfortable that I won’t be writing the same word 50,000 times — but it might seem like that.<\/p>\n
One of my friends has decided to modify NaNo<\/a> (and do it unofficially) to focus on writing time — she wants to use her writing time for efficiently to free time for other priorities. I think this is a great idea and eagerly await updates to learn how she’s progressing toward her writing goals. Because NaNoWriMo is about so many things, but if it doesn’t meet your needs, it’s easy to take the opportunity to do something unofficially that does <\/em>meet your needs. Hopefully, you’ll be fortunate enough to have a cheering section who will support you in your efforts, but if not, do it for you. You’re worth it.<\/p>\n Are you playing this year? Are you ready?
