I accomplished some work on Twilight<\/strong> today. I’m getting the first three chapters\/15k words ready for Zette<\/a>, our Two Year Novel instructor, to look over. I know it doesn’t have to have anything done with it, but I received some excellent feedback on important basic stuff when we posted our first five pages, and I want to make sure I’ve addressed those comments, so I don’t waste Zette’s or my time getting the same feedback from her. <\/p>\n

Also, I rearranged pieces so the opening of the book is chronological for the story. I had 3000 words that occur chronologically first appearing later in the book. I didn’t like ordering it that way, so I moved it up front. Unfortunately, the first 2000 words are rated “R” to NC-17″ (depending upon your viewpoint). I am not comfortable opening the book this way, but the betrayal is important. I spent time today finding graphic bits that could easily be removed. Less is more in this instance, but I’m not sure I took out enough.<\/p>\n

I cut nearly 400 words and have at least several hundred more to remove before I’ll be ready to send it Zette’s way. I haven’t decided how the chapter breaks are going to shake out yet, so I’m working on the first 15k.<\/p>\n

I felt good to be working on it again. I still have to weave in my key villain discoveries. There might be a place for a few in the first 2000 words, but I haven’t looked at it for that yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
