I mentioned a few days ago that I was going to stop and see my veterinary clinic this morning to make sure they were ok. They are. They’re tired. They’re thankful. They lost fencing, roofing, their awning, and their new playground equipment. (They run a pet daycare, so the “kids” need playground equipment.) They have plywood over the cat side entrance and some of the kennel area windows. They’ve cleaned up everything they can clean up, and now everything depends upon other entities to finish — fencers, roofers, etc.<\/p>\n
I made Hershey’s dental appointment and Natasha’s annual check up appointment for the first week in December. Hershey’s doctor said he needed that and to lose five pounds back in August when he went in for his annual exam. Hershey’s been working hard to lose the weight, and he thinks he’s one hot little dog now, and he’s ready to show off for his doctor.<\/p>\n
Today was my first day to see the damage first-hand. I’m always amazed at the power of Mother Nature — and her complete disregard for what we humans do. The two-story apartment homes immediately behind the clinic have virtually no second story in a path about three buildings wide. The single family homes right behind them also have extensive damage, although I didn’t drive through the neighborhood. The small strip mall just west of the FunZone building that was thoroughly demolished looks virtually untouched. The Walgreen’s across the street? Untouched.<\/p>\n
I had to stop in there to pick up Osteo Bi-Flex (Walgreen’s runs a rotating two-for-one sale on glucosamine chondroitin products, and this week was my product, and I needed to refresh my stash). I also needed a “refill” on Tylenol Arthritis. I find by taking two triple-strength Osteo Bi-Flexes and four Tylenol Arthritis (two in the morning and two in the evening) each day I experience minimal pain in my knees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
