It’s a been a busy week at work — I had something I had to get done by Monday, so I didn’t get home until after nine tonight. One of those number crunching things where every set of figures you compile is just a few off from what it should be, but you’re not completely certain what it really should be. Finally, after counting the same things four or five different ways sixteen different times, I got all the numbers to agree. I quickly updated the slides. Then, while filling in the table I had to create, the second set of numbers kept coming up two short. Finally, after six times counting cross ways, I found where I’d forgotten to include a two in one of the columns, and everything came out. Ugh. Strangely, I like working with columns and rows of information and making it match up. In a similar vein, accounting has never appealed to me. Maybe that’s because I’ve never taken an accounting class. Before I’d read a Crusie romance novel, the romance genre had never appealed to me either. There may be a lesson somewhere in that observation.<\/p>\n
