The We were out of town last week, and the outside kitties were busy kitties<\/strong>! I had to do a few double takes while checking the game camera chip yesterday. First, I woke up this morning to look out the door and saw the feeder had been tipped over and contents spread on the porch. I fixed that and swapped the game camera to discover what happened. The first thing I did was take a second look, because it looks like Junior’s brother has found us. He’s a darker gray, but he has the same facial expression and the signature curved tail. I thought I’d noticed a smaller cat on the camera in recent weeks. I’ll have to check now that I’ve clearly identified this fellow to see how long he’s been masquerading as Boomer.<\/p>\n

The amazing thing to me, and what required me to check the photos closely was counting nine different cats making an appearance this week. In addition to the raccoon and the opossum (I’ve verified at least two of them on an earlier date).<\/p>\n

First, let’s look at what happened to the feeder. As I suspected, the raccoon was involved, but he didn’t finish the job. That was left to someone else. Notice Tarzan, Lady, and Ajax are fascinated by the show being put on by the raccon. He moved the feeder and dislodged the food tray. He also managed to get the feeder off-center in its bungee cradle, setting it up for the second act.<\/p>\n

This kitty resembles Tarzan, but in a daylight shot, he looks like he may not be well:

That’s two of the nine cats I counted. Here are the rest. You’re familiar with some, but there are a few new ones. First, the Fluffy Gray. I’m fairly certain she had kittens about a month ago, so we should see them coming up in a few weeks. I’m also fairly certain this cat is Sapphire’s mama. She seems interested in Ruby, who watches from the window:<\/p>\n

I think the one on the right is a sibling of Daphne’s. While eye color is different, the facial expression is right on.<\/p>\n

\"busyI’ve seen the fellow on the left periodically. I call him Gray Socks, and I think he lives up the street. The kitty on the right is new to me and is either black or dark gray. There you have it. A busy game camera week filled with busy kitties.<\/p>\n
