Some kind of crud has hold of me and is making me miserable, so I haven’t been around to check out your Snippets yet.<\/p>\n
It was a good week.\u00a0 Got some yard work done. Got some floors cleaned.\u00a0 Almost lost hubby’s truck in a new “water feature” on the ranch — four hours of harrowing not so much fun rescuing it.\u00a0 A stuck truck is stuck, whether it’s a 4×4 or not.\u00a0 Thank heaven for wonderful neighbors who don’t think twice about dashing out with their tractors to pull someone out.\u00a0 Casualties?\u00a0 Passenger side running board and most likely one cell phone.\u00a0 The cell phone is sort of working, but they don’t respond well to getting soaked.\u00a0 The display is intermittent at best at the moment.<\/p>\n
The day after the water excursion, my sinuses began feeling stuffed up, and my throat became scratchy.\u00a0 By Friday night, I was miserable.\u00a0 We did get to see the grandkids, and that was fun.\u00a0 Saturday, I didn’t get out of bed unless absolutely necessary.\u00a0 Today, of course, I had to fly home.\u00a0 I have a cough, light congestion, and a tickle in my throat.\u00a0 My mouth?\u00a0 I’m not sure what army tromped through there, but they could have left the place at least as neat as they found it.\u00a0 Oh, yes, and my favorite, poison ivy, has sprung up on my forearm.\u00a0 As long as I can keep it from spreading, I should be ok.<\/p>\n
I hope to feel better tomorrow.\u00a0 Hubby and I got time together, and I got some great examples for raising stakes this week.\u00a0 Isn’t that what life as a writer is all about?\u00a0 Finding new ways to raise the stakes for our characters?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
