I’m making a run for word count.\u00a0 I’m not using word padding techniques, but this is turning into more character-building and backstory writing than anything.\u00a0\u00a0 If I can get to\u00a0 30k this weekend, I’ll be in better shape to slide to the finish line next weekend.\u00a0 Words are coming.\u00a0 At least I’m getting progress.\u00a0 I hope to get enough usable material to create a real novel at a later date.\u00a0 That’s always been my goal for NaNo — further the writing in some way or another.\u00a0 First draft material is ideal.\u00a0 If the best I can get is a well-developed character or backstory that will feed a functional novel (as opposed to a dysfunctional one), I’ll be pleased.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
