We don’t talk about Ruby much because she’s quite reclusive. She’s Delta and Rossie’s sister and was the tiniest of the siblings. As Ruby is getting older, she’s become more amenable to us petting her, but it’s still on her terms. The only place Ruby is willing to be handled is on the bed, and we must ask permission first.<\/p>\n
She permits petting down the back, ear rubs, and, sometimes, she will roll over for a belly rub. Those are particularly exciting occasions. As she gets older, she’s allowing this more often, and we’re grateful for that.<\/p>\n
The featured image is my favorite photo of her as a kitten. She seemed so fragile. I am not confident she would have survived long as an outside kitty. She’s done well in the house.<\/p>\n
Fun fact. Ruby and Delta look exactly alike. Delta is a lot puffier and has different a different eye shape than Ruby, but Ruby has a little white growth on her left ear (like a skin tag) that we use to definitely distinguish her from Delta.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
