I’m struggling with conflict today.\u00a0 I sought assistance in the How To Think Sideways course yesterday and felt pretty good about what I was able to plan out, but I’m still fighting a tendency to drone on and on in narrative without using the characters to move the story.<\/p>\n
I wonder if there’s a Point of View (POV) that will force me to more action, but I suspect I can twist any POV toward a droning textbook discussion.\u00a0 I must be the most boring person I know, and I fear my writing is reflecting that lately.<\/p>\n
Today’s NaNo goal is 20,004.\u00a0 I should be able to reach that.\u00a0 Hopefully, some of that will be usable manuscript instead of plotting planning.\u00a0 But I’ll take what I can get, because all of it will be revisable into something useful eventually.\u00a0 Besides, this is a genre (sci-fi) that has so much possibility, how could I not explore it more?<\/p>\n
