I thought I lost a cat.\u00a0 I hadn’t seen Pericles since sometime last night.\u00a0 When I didn’t seem him this morning, I got concerned.\u00a0 Had he inadvertently gotten closed in a room?\u00a0 I searched the house, checking closets and rooms I’d gone into even briefly last night — just in case he’d managed to slip in behind me unnoticed.\u00a0 No luck.<\/p>\n
Where could he be?\u00a0 He does this sometimes — curls up somewhere, and we can’t find him.\u00a0 I sat down at the kitchen table to separate yesterday’s junk mail into trash and shred piles, and it dawned on me.\u00a0 I felt the chair next to me.\u00a0 Sure enough.\u00a0 There was Pericles.\u00a0 Curled up and sleeping comfortably.\u00a0 Oblivious to my concern.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
