My husband has long been jealous of my relationship with the computer.\u00a0 Lately, I think he’s justified.\u00a0 I’d love to say I was using the computer to write riveting lines of fiction.\u00a0 Or even revising klutzy lines of prose into interesting fiction.\u00a0 Alas.\u00a0 If only.<\/p>\n
I have been playing Mafia Wars.\u00a0 An My Zoo.\u00a0 And someone roped me into Vampire Wars — I don’t quite get that one.\u00a0 Then I added Farmville thinking it was FarmTown.\u00a0 Then, once I learned the difference, I added FarmTown, too.<\/p>\n
So, I’ve been rotating through those games, checking Twitter, and, frankly, just mindlessly checking a few different sites.\u00a0 Naturally, I’ve been following the progress of the Spurs summer movements.\u00a0 I still can’t figure out what the Spurs organization sees in Ian Mahinmi.\u00a0 Since they seem determined to keep him on the payroll, I hope they’re seeing something I’m missing.<\/p>\n
Of course, none of those things are particularly important to me or my hubby, so, naturally, he’s a little grumpy about all my time glued to the pixels.\u00a0 Even I have reached the point where I can’t really disagree with him.\u00a0 It becomes mesmerizing after a time.<\/p>\n
I did drag myself away long enough to complete some household errands this week, but I have many more to do.\u00a0 I can only tell myself I’m waiting for my hip to heal so many times.\u00a0 I know that’s not really it.\u00a0 Because, frankly, the hip will do better with a variety of gentle movements instead of either sitting in a chair or lying in bed.\u00a0 And those would best be obtained by working around the house at various tasks.<\/p>\n
I head back to Central Texas tomorrow for the week.\u00a0 I have a medical appointment on Tuesday.\u00a0 Since I have to be up there anyway, I may as well spend time up there working on various things around the house.<\/p>\n
I’ll be preparing for a yard sale, sorting more stuff, and, hopefully, working on revisions that I alluded to at the start of this missive.\u00a0 I’ll also try to get a little water into the yard to keep the grass from dying completely.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
