It seems like a worthwhile thread to follow.\u00a0 It’s no secret that we maintain two households.\u00a0 That means at least two of everything.\u00a0 That includes Internet Service Providers.\u00a0 We use Earthlink DSL in San Antonio and ATT DSL in Central Texas.\u00a0 We’re happy with them both.\u00a0 They cost about the same.\u00a0 I’ve used Earthlink for many years.\u00a0 We also travel.\u00a0 Most hotels have wireless access for free, but that’s not always the case.\u00a0 So, last year, we added the ATT dongle to our repertoire. (Motto:\u00a0 The Internet can’t hide anymore.\u00a0 To which I reply, Oh yes, it can!)<\/p>\n
But, to maintain three high speed internet connections costs around $150 a month.\u00a0 Frankly, I’d like to cut that.\u00a0 As we complete moving our stuff to Central Texas, we’ll be spending less time in San Antonio.\u00a0 Soon we’ll come down here to do yard work and redo several aspects of the house that need to be redone to make it marketable.\u00a0 There’s no rush to do this, but we’re thinking about it.<\/p>\n
Of course, the dongle has a two-year service commitment.\u00a0 Not unusual.\u00a0 That will be up in late September.\u00a0 Since I got the dongle, Verizon has come out with the MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hot Spot.\u00a0 Supposedly, you can connect up to five WiFi devices to it at a time.\u00a0 (Checking with my husband’s older daughter who uses it in one of her business ventures to make sure multiple computers can connect at the same time).<\/p>\n
