In a nutshell, I learned nothing we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re experiencing right now in the United States politically or economically is new. The current day problems are eerily similar to the Gilded Age problems.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s some distress that comes of this, but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s mildly comforting as well. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been through similar times and survived.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be studying more in this era \u00e2\u20ac\u201c I have a few more books on my To Be Read shelf relating to this subject.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just finished reading New Spirits: Americans in the Gilded Age, 1865-1900 by Rebecca Edwards.
