I was going about my business this morning, and the power went out at the house.\u00a0 it was out for a little over an hour.\u00a0 The outage did give me a chance to test my theory that if I had my DSL modem\/wireless router on the UPS upstairs by itself that I would still be able to access the internet via the iPad (or laptops).<\/p>\n
Even though the UPS supporting the Mini and accouterments doesn’t have enough battery power for me to be able to reach it in time to power it down before it croaked (I’m still waiting for Amazon to ship my new APC UPS with three times the power of this inadequate one I’m using — I only ordered it a week ago), the DSL\/wireless doesn’t take much power, and I have it as the only item on the “big” UPS upstairs. I’ll quit beating around the bush and verify that it worked just fine this morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
