The more I think about it, the more I think I’m going to upgrade the camera to the FujiFilm F550 EXR instead of buying an iPad2.<\/p>\n
I like the iPad2.\u00a0 I like that it has the cameras, that it’s faster, and that it’s sleeker, but now that it’s available, I don’t feel a compelling need to replace the one I have.\u00a0 Like Zette said on Twitter, “why don’t you just get a camera?”<\/p>\n
Well, it’s not the same.\u00a0 I have a camera.\u00a0 But I’ve been noticing that camera is looking a little tired lately.\u00a0 It’s six years old.\u00a0 Like one friend said, “That’s like driving a Model T by today’s standards.” (In that analogy, hubby drives a Stanley Steamer (the car, not the carpet cleaners) — I’ve offered to upgrade his 1.5 megapixel camera, but he’s contented with it.)<\/p>\n
There are rumors the iPad3 will be a significant upgrade, so why not wait and continue to get more mileage out of my current iPad?<\/p>\n
The FujiFilm F550 EXR is the next model up from the one I blogged about yesterday.\u00a0 It has the GPS tagging feature, which I’m not sure is all that critical for what I want to do, but it does have a faster frame rate, which I would like.\u00a0 It costs about $30 more, so that’s not too bad.<\/p>\n
Besides, I’ve all but decided to get an iPhone 5 when it’s released this summer, and it will have cameras, and I can load the app I want to use the camera for onto the iPhone and sync it with the iPad to update the data.\u00a0 I think that solution may be more elegant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
