We’re working in San Antonio for a couple of weeks.\u00a0 Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised, but the transition between houses seems to have thrown the kittens for a loop — especially Tarzan.<\/p>\n
I went to the Apple Store for a little while tonight and perused the new MacBookPros, iPad2s, and other sundry items.\u00a0 The MacBookPros are lovely machines.\u00a0 The iPad2 cameras are just fine (as we suspected), and the new machine feels good in my hands and is noticeably lighter than the original.\u00a0 I was concerned how button operation would be with the more sharply sloped sides, but the buttons felt comfortable to operate.<\/p>\n
As for the sundry items I investigated, one was a mouse.\u00a0 I’m not getting along with the track pad on the Air.\u00a0 Logitech makes a nice ambidextrous Bluetooth mini-mouse.\u00a0 The track pad on the Airs in the store seemed to work fine, so I must have some settings wrong on mine.\u00a0 I decided to fiddle with mine a little more before saddling myself with a peripheral.\u00a0 The second sundry item is a small, portable external hard drive, preferably 1Tb, but 750G would probably be ok.\u00a0 I’d like to use Time Machine for the Air, too, but I don’t want a bulky external drive for it.\u00a0 There were two to consider — a Western Digital My Passport in 1Tb and a G-Drive in 750G.\u00a0 They cost the same, but the G-Drive has a three year warranty vice a two year warranty for the Western Digital.\u00a0 Something in the back of my mind nagged that some people have had trouble with Western Digital.\u00a0 I decided to wait and do a little research before making a purchase.<\/p>\n
I haven’t been here since January.\u00a0 Guess what happened?\u00a0 Of course, all the hedges grew.\u00a0 Note to self:\u00a0 When choosing landscaping materials for Central Texas house, pick slow growing shrubbery for places that will require trimming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
