I knew this one was going to be a challenge for me.\u00a0 I do not gravitate to the color pink.\u00a0 We moved to a new house when I was five — my parent’s first house after a couple of trailer homes.\u00a0 This was exciting, and many good things happened at this time.\u00a0 One of those things, of course, was a great big bedroom to share with my brand new baby sister.\u00a0 Mom and Grandma (it may have been one or the other — I don’t remember if it was a collaborative effort or just one of them did this project) decorated my (ahem, our) room.\u00a0 The bedroom faced the front of the house and had two big windows, a good size walk-in closet, and awesome built-in storage cabinets.<\/p>\n

The decorations were bold and exciting.\u00a0 The curtains a bold, bold pink with matching valences.\u00a0 The accompanying decorations were circus scenes done on one foot square ceiling tiles spray painted in light pastel green shades for the background (very attractive–I’m not sure I’m describing them well).\u00a0 Grandma has always been an accomplished crafter as well as a huge circus fan, and that is why I suspect these circus scenes are attributable as her creation.\u00a0 Mom, on the other hand, loves pink and making curtains, so I suspect that was her contribution.<\/p>\n

Pink isn’t really my color.\u00a0 Never has been.\u00a0 But I will say if I had to have pink curtains, those bold, hot pink curtains were the best shade of pink to have!\u00a0 I didn’t dislike those curtains, but they didn’t resonate with me.\u00a0 I like reds (so pink is on the scale at least), blues, blacks, and tans.<\/p>\n

That’s a long way of saying, you won’t find much pink in my house.\u00a0 So here’s what I could find pink for this “Something Pink” challenge:\u00a0 \"Something<\/p>\n

Yes.\u00a0 A Pilot Precise Rolling Ball V5 pen used in marking revisions.\u00a0 It comes as part of the set, so I have a pink pen (I usually use the red one)<\/p>\n

As an aside, Lady brought the red and purple pens upstairs for me this morning, as well as a pair of work gloves.\u00a0 I think she thinks I’m not working hard enough lately.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
