The good news? No arthritis in my right knee. The expected news? A torn medial meniscus. The link has drawings and will probably tell you more than you thought you ever wanted to know about a meniscus, but I&#8217;ve had tears in both knees now, so it&#8217;s a subject I&#8217;m interested in. If you&#8217;ve had problems with your knees before, you might have meniscus tear problems as well. I first noticed problems with my left knee twenty years ago. It would bother me for a few months. I&#8217;d modify my exercise routine to bike riding or walking instead of running, and it would feel better. In September of 2004, it decided it had had enough and didn&#8217;t feel better in a couple months. In early April, my right knee did the same. It doesn&#8217;t feel better.
