I’m very pleased with my first day’s word count.\u00a0 4, 203 words completed. That means I have 45,797 words go go before the end of the month.<\/p>\n
I’m writing Dickie’s POV first to maintain continuity.\u00a0 The flow of the story will be Dickie relating the story.\u00a0 Then, between his chapters, his dad will be reflecting upon what he’s just read and offering his commentary.\u00a0 The idea is to capture what it’s like for one family member to write a memoir about another family member, then having the subject of the memoir read it and comment.<\/p>\n
To get a “genuine” response from Danny, I think I have to write Dickie’s POV first, then let “Danny” read it and respond.<\/p>\n
And, now I’m wondering if it’s wise to have my two POV characters with names beginning with the same letter and ending in the same sound.\u00a0 I sense a name change.\u00a0 Probably Danny’s.\u00a0 Don’t be surprised.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
