Just normal stuff going on.\u00a0 The yard is in much better shape this year than last year.\u00a0 Here’s the latest picture of our house stripping project:\"May,<\/p>\n

Notice how “ripply” the wall is on the left and center sections?\u00a0 Hubby has not reset the boards yet to snug them up.\u00a0 I think you can set was a difference this made on the right section — we got an extra board in.\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 There was that much room between all the boards going up the wall. We anticipate adding a board on each of the remaining sections.<\/p>\n

Here’s a comparison between the front section we’ve already done — the oblique view, if you will:\"Left<\/p>\n

I’m not sure if you can tell, but we now have primer on the mailbox post.\u00a0 Hubby is using that to train me in his methods.\u00a0 I puttied the cracks today. In a few weeks, I’ll sand and re-putty.\u00a0 I think after that, I’ll be able to put on a color coat.\u00a0 We’ll see what the master says.<\/p>\n

The back window goes to the downstairs bathroom — right off the dining room.\u00a0 On the porch side is an outdoor closet, deep enough for a washer and dryer, freezer, or water heater.\u00a0 I’m not sure what the previous owners intended, because none of those things are there — it just looks like they could be.\u00a0 All those boards on that section of the wall? They must be replaced.\u00a0 They are crumbling.\u00a0 We need 27 ten foot premium deck boards and two sixteen-foot premium deck boards.\u00a0 Once we get them and they are dry (and still straight), we’ll have a board making party which begins by planing them to the proper thickness.\u00a0 Then we cut to the proper width.\u00a0 Finally, we use the router to create the ship lap sides.\u00a0 I figure it will take us about a week to make the boards.\u00a0 That’s the worst section on the house.\u00a0 We don’t anticipate having many more boards to replace once we get that job completed.<\/p>\n
