T. Kirkman <\/a>in May.\u00a0 Woody very graciously showed us through his business facility as well as his personal collection.\u00a0 We met his family and had a lovely dinner, talking kerosene lanterns the entire time.<\/p>\n<p>I learned a lot of things on the tour, but one of the most interesting was lighting hanging on a wall beneath the height of a doorway can only extend from the wall a maximum distance.\u00a0 Since Woody imports or manufactures kerosene and vintage lighting, I was fascinated to see lighting designed to meet ADA criteria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-13009\" src=\"https:\/\/pmtoo.jeanschara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/DSCF1052-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"ADA-compliant lighting\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>As you can see, this particular lamp is designed to direct light downward as well as throughout the room. In every way, it looks like an ordinary lamp, but it hugs the wall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As an interesting side note, look for W.T.
