I bought a trap this week and borrowed a trap from the vet.\u00a0 We’ve captured three kitties and I estimate I have at least four to go.\u00a0 First, we have Little Orange (eating) and Peaches.\u00a0 Little Orange is a little girl, and Peaches is a boy.\u00a0 I managed to trap them, and they have been spayed\/neutered and released.\u00a0 They are current on shots and tested negative for feline leukemia and vaccinated.\u00a0 Two healthy kitties.\"Little<\/p>\n

I caught this little one, who is too small to spay:\"Little<\/p>\n

I don’t have a name for her yet.\u00a0 She bit the vet tech, so she’s in quarantine for ten days.\u00a0 She’s very shy, but I\u00a0 think she’s going to be able to be socialized.\u00a0 I just have to devise a plan.\u00a0 There are at least two more like her and another little orange in this litter (I suspect the orange guy may have been the one I really saw in early October instead of the two older orange kitties above).\u00a0 I’m not quite sure how many kitties we’re really dealing with at the moment.<\/p>\n

I still have this larger kitty to catch:\"Tabby<\/p>\n

I’m reasonably certain it’s a girl.\u00a0 Probably a litter mate with Little Orange and Peaches as well as the pretty girl I haven’t seen since late October.\"Cammy<\/p>\n

I think there is an adult tabby and an adult orange that I’ve been calling Big Orange, but I’m beginning to wonder if Big Orange and Peaches may be the same cat.\u00a0 I’m not sure at this point.<\/p>\n

Those are the outside kitties.\u00a0 I hope to capture the remaining three little ones over the next week.\u00a0 I think that will give me the best chance of getting them socialized and adoptable.\u00a0 The “big” kitties will remain outdoor kitties, and I’ll feed them and make sure they have fresh water.\u00a0 I like having a few kitties in the neighborhood but many more than what we have now will become a problem, and that’s not good for the kitties.<\/p>\n

As for the indoor kitties, everyone is doing well.<\/p>\n
