I’m in a tough spot for the last two days.\u00a0 I have a couple of characters who just aren’t “writing well.”\u00a0 I’ve written most of the book, and it’s coming up short.\u00a0 That’s far from saying the book is complete.\u00a0 I have a few characters who are coming across pretty flat.\u00a0 For the last two days, those characters have been telling me about how I haven’t quite “gotten” them.\u00a0 They’ve shifted to first person, and, frankly, they’re frustrated with their author, and they’re telling her where she’s gotten them wrong.\u00a0 This will be enormously helpful during re-write.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
