I think Lady is playing with the kittens more than she’s batting them about with her paw.\u00a0 I’m not absolutely certain, but I think it.<\/p>\n
Tarzan and Natasha are doing fine.\u00a0 I was concerned about Ajax.\u00a0 He’s been vomiting a lot.\u00a0 Daily for the last week. I took him to the vet on Wednesday.\u00a0 The vet did blood work and found nothing wrong.\u00a0 He suspects Ajax has been eating his fill of dry food, then drinking water.\u00a0 Water, of course, expands the dry food, making him uncomfortable.\u00a0 The only relief he can get is to barf.\u00a0 The explanation made sense to me, and the water tower was right next to the food tower.\u00a0 As a trial, I moved the water tower across the room.\u00a0 Ajax hasn’t vomited since.<\/p>\n
Last week, I took three of the four kittens to the vet.\u00a0 One for a cough and the other two for a skin issue.\u00a0 He gave me antibiotics for Delta and her cough.\u00a0 Either she had a virus that ran it’s course, or the antibiotics did their job, because I haven’t heard her cough since two or three days after taking her in.\u00a0 He thinks the skin thing might be ringworm.\u00a0 I’ve been treating them with an ointment, and it seems to be doing the trick.<\/p>\n
As I was despairing of the kittens ever making the step of letting me approach them or them actually approaching me, and Floyd did both this afternoon.\u00a0 Delta allowed the same.\u00a0 Ruby is leaning toward being approachable.\u00a0 We’re still tentative, but I see more progress.<\/p>\n
That brings us to Rossie, who has been very reticent.\u00a0 She’s spending more time out of the carrier. Progress.<\/p>\n
Hubby reports that Peaches and Sneaky are both eating from the timed feeder on the back porch up in Central TX. I’m pleased to hear this, because I placed that feeder on the porch for them.\u00a0 I don’t really want other neighborhood cats eating from it, and so far, that doesn’t seem to be the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
