{"id":5918,"date":"2013-01-05T12:53:36","date_gmt":"2013-01-05T18:53:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polarbear60.org\/randr\/?p=5918"},"modified":"2016-02-11T15:16:05","modified_gmt":"2016-02-11T21:16:05","slug":"cats-central-tx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jeanschara.com\/pmtoo\/cats-central-tx\/","title":{"rendered":"Cats: Back in Central TX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We transitioned back to Central TX yesterday.\u00a0 Hubby brought the cats, because I had to stop at Fort Hood on the way back to pick up prescriptions.\u00a0 The weather was fine for them to be in the truck, but I didn&#8217;t want to subject them to being restricted to carriers any longer than necessary, and I spent a couple hours on Ft Hood in addition to the three hours travel time to get there and the additional hour to get home afterward.\u00a0 This way, hubby could bring them straight to the house and release them in the kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>After I got back to the house, we decided to set up a single crate in the parlor.\u00a0 My theory is they need to be spending more time out getting used to living in a normal house setting.\u00a0 For now, they are confined to the parlor and kitchen.*\u00a0 Prior to this, they had been confined to the kitchen.\u00a0 The kitchen and parlor are typically the two rooms we allow the big cats access to when we&#8217;ve gone out of town for an extended weekend.<\/p>\n<p>All four kittens are enthralled with the parlor.\u00a0 It has lots of nooks and crannies for curious kitties to explore.<\/p>\n<p>I was awakened this morning to the usual cat stampede with Natasha in the lead closely followed by Lady and Ajax with Tarzan soon to follow.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know why they have to chase her, but she runs right to me.\u00a0 Kind of like that kid you didn&#8217;t like who was always tattling for you picking on him or her.\u00a0 They do this a couple of times a month.<\/p>\n<p>* With the exception of Ruby who escaped with Floyd while I was replenishing food and water this morning.\u00a0 I forgot to close the parlor door, and she made a beeline to the front hall.\u00a0 We don&#8217;t know where she went, but we left her out while we went to breakfast.\u00a0 Once we returned, closed the door, and let the other kitties out, she wanted back in to be part of the fun.
