When we are in San Antonio, we have more opportunity to work with Rossie one-on-one.\u00a0 The house is smaller, and there are fewer places for her to hide.\u00a0 When she gets in the garden window –we pulled her out of the carrier, cuddled her, then placed her in the window — she usually stays for a while, and while she was in there, we’d pet her and rub her chin and talk to her.\u00a0 Usually, the wild-eyed look of panic would leave her eyes, and she could relax.\u00a0 I love seeing her like that, but it happens all too rarely.\u00a0\u00a0 We would usually come home after being gone and find her in the window, giving us more opportunities to give her chin and belly rubs, which she does enjoy.\u00a0 But she seems to forget where they come from after a brief interlude.<\/p>\n
Mr. L wanted to see his doctor, and the soonest appointment was for this Thursday, so, while I had to return to Central Texas for my dentist appointment tomorrow morning, he had to stay in San Antonio until Friday.\u00a0 We took this opportunity to leave Rossie and Ajax with him.\u00a0 We hope Mr. L will have more opportunity to work with Rossie this week, and we hope she’ll get a little lonelier without the other cats around (but Ajax is there for some company).<\/p>\n
It took Natasha seven years to warm up to Mr. L.\u00a0 Thankfully, she warmed up to me within a couple of weeks.\u00a0 We’re anxious for Miss Rossie to relax and feel at home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
