Everyone, including the vet, seems to have survived and perhaps thrived as a result of our vacation time away.\u00a0 I arrived to a reconfiguration in the boarding area — they’d wheeled out a small two-cage condo to accompany the regular two four-cage condos (My 8 weren’t the only boarders.)\u00a0 Natasha danced in her cage when she saw me walk in the door and was purring loudly when I took her out of the page and placed her in her carrier.\u00a0 Ajax paced.\u00a0 Everyone else looked at me like I’d abused them horribly.\u00a0 Well, except for the remaining boarder, who seemed to be expressing relief at having the place to himself.<\/p>\n
I picked them up on Wednesday, and Natasha, Lady, and Tarzan haven’t been far from my side since arriving back home.\u00a0 Ajax just came up for a hug a few minutes ago (it takes him a few days to forgive me).\u00a0 The Bengal girls and Floyd have all been available.\u00a0 Even Rossie came down for food twice last night.\u00a0 I flipped the light on in the den before going to bed and caught her (much to her dismay) not sitting in the window sill where she usually is.<\/p>\n
Sneaky was nowhere to be found throughout the afternoon when I got home (she usually isn’t responsive to me during the heat of the day).\u00a0 I was mildly concerned but not formally worried yet.\u00a0 Mr. L suggested I turn the side porch light on for her as a signal that we were home.\u00a0 I have no idea if this worked or not, but by nine o’clock that evening, Sneaky was on her doghouse, peering in the parlor window begging for attention, so she got some.<\/p>\n
It’s good to be back with the little monsters again.\u00a0 I missed them.<\/p>\n
