I suspect much of my cat reporting has become predictable.\u00a0 As a result, I may skip a few cat posts.\u00a0 I think an update is in order for Sneaky, our outdoor feral who isn’t so very feral these days.\u00a0 Mr. L can talk to her and pet her now.\u00a0 I sometimes think she likes him better than me, but maybe it’s just different. Mr. L calls her Squeaky.\u00a0 I call her Sneaky or Sneakers.\u00a0 She doesn’t seem to care which term of endearment we use, and each name fits her.<\/p>\n
Her biting and clawing is much more gentle now.\u00a0 She seems to understand it’s not acceptable social behavior, but she’s not sure quite how to express herself.\u00a0 I can pick her up and turn her onto her back and cradle her in my arms, and, mostly, she seems very relaxed in the position.\u00a0 Ear rubs are key.\u00a0 She loves ear rubs.<\/p>\n
In the evenings, she stands on the porch railing or her dog house roof and squeaks.\u00a0 I hear her and open the curtains to talk to her through the glass.\u00a0 I sometimes think if I opened the window, she might come into the house.\u00a0 That would be a very bad idea.\u00a0 While I think the four kittens (who are now a year old) would welcome her, Lady has attacked her through the glass. No, if Sneaky were ever to be brought into the house, that would require a special process that would need to be carefully followed.\u00a0 That process is not even up for discussion now, but we seem to have a very loyal, interested outside cat.\u00a0 She gets her dose of Revolution each month (preventative for fleas, ticks, heartworms, ear mites, and several types of worms), a freshened water tower, food dropped daily via a timer, and attention once or twice a day when we’re home. She seems to be a happy cat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
