I had to go down to San Antonio this week to water the grass.\u00a0 Due to the severe drought we’re experiencing in Texas, watering restrictions have been in place.\u00a0 We can water using conventional sprinklers or sprinkler systems one day per week between the hours of 3-8 am and 8-10 pm.\u00a0 Our watering day is Wednesday (based upon our house number).\u00a0 We can use soaker hoses during those hours on any day of the week.\u00a0 So we use the sprinkler during the allotted hours on Wednesday, and I drag soaker hoses around the yard to ensure coverage the rest of the week.\u00a0 I position the hoses where I want them at 10 pm, so when I get up at 3 am, all I have to do is turn the water on.\u00a0 This still disrupts my sleep.\u00a0 This only pertains to cats in the sense that we discussed it, and I took four of the eight cats with me.\u00a0 How did we choose these cats?<\/p>\n
Rossie was to stay in Central TX with Mr. L to see if he could draw her out more from her reclusiveness up here.\u00a0 She’s been more confident in San Antonio, and we’d like her to be a little more confident here.\u00a0 To help her, we kept the cats most conducive to her being out and about here — Ajax, Tarzan, and Delta.<\/p>\n
Natasha is most comfortable with me, so she came with me to San Antonio.\u00a0 Lady beats up the kittens and is probably one reason Rossie isn’t out as much, so she had to go to San Antonio with me.\u00a0 Ruby tends to be more reclusive in Central Texas, but she’s friendly and cuddly with both me and Natasha in San Antonio, so she came with me for more socialization.\u00a0 Floyd could go either way, so, since I needed four, I brought him with me.<\/p>\n
Rossie was out and about more without Lady around to bully her.\u00a0 Ruby was approachable and spent a lot of time sleeping with Natasha.\u00a0 Everyone else did their thing.\u00a0 This division of personalities seemed to work well. We’ll keep it in mind for future reference.<\/p>\n
