{"id":6942,"date":"2014-02-10T02:27:21","date_gmt":"2014-02-10T08:27:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polarbear60.org\/randr\/?p=6942"},"modified":"2025-04-20T13:28:55","modified_gmt":"2025-04-20T18:28:55","slug":"photo-odp-soccer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jeanschara.com\/pmtoo\/photo-odp-soccer\/","title":{"rendered":"Photo: ODP Soccer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My niece has been selected to participate in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for soccer, and they had some games in College Station this past weekend.\u00a0 She&#8217;s a member of the Oklahoma Select team, and her position is goalie (at least I know where to find her on the field!).<\/p>\n<p>I made my debut with action photography this weekend, and I managed to catch a couple of worthwhile shots.\u00a0 Here they are:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12614\" src=\"https:\/\/pmtoo.jeanschara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014-02-08-12.19.25-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Goalies Warming Up\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>She and her fellow goalie began warming up together before the first game on Saturday.\u00a0 (True, this is not an action shot.)<\/p>\n<p>This one is not going to find the net.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12616\" src=\"https:\/\/pmtoo.jeanschara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014-02-08-17.01.24-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Not Getting to the Net\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>This is a definite stop.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12617\" src=\"https:\/\/pmtoo.jeanschara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014-02-09-12.54.58-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"The team is not letting this one in.\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jazz is focused on this ball, and her team is not letting this one get in either.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12618\" src=\"https:\/\/pmtoo.jeanschara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014-02-09-13.16.45-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Not gettin' in either.\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>Excellent focus.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12619\" src=\"https:\/\/pmtoo.jeanschara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014-02-09-13.17.44-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Like a laser.\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What I see in these shots is a laser-like focus and positioning.\u00a0 I learned a very little about soccer this weekend, and I had fun watching.\u00a0 I&#8217;m really glad I had the opportunity to attend, and I hope to be able to do more in the future.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"border-radius: 2px;
