We’ve been having some nicer weather over this past week, and that helps.\u00a0 It also means the weeds are growing with abandon.\u00a0 Here’s the latest on the properties:<\/p>\n

The San Antonio House:\u00a0 We’re headed down there later to begin tree and yard work in preparation for spring.<\/p>\n

The Ranch: No change.<\/p>\n

The Store: Mr. L has been there and moved some items to the shop.\u00a0 We picked up a piece of flexible copper pipe to repair the water line.\u00a0 We just have make sure we get the appropriate coupling pieces, and we’ll be ready to effect the repair.\u00a0 We also plan to add a cutoff valve on our side of the meter.<\/p>\n

The Shop: Mr. L bought a set of chain link gate panels that was ideal for his plans to expand the tool cage.\u00a0 It now has two sections.\u00a0 One for larger tools and the smaller section for hand tools.\u00a0 He’s fine tuning the adjustments on it.<\/p>\n

The Central Texas House: Mr. L has been spraying for broadleaf weeds for the past three days before the wind comes up in the morning.\u00a0 I think he’s finishing up as I type.\u00a0 I got the corner crape myrtles cut back (the ones that have to stay around three feet for city codes — they will be replaced with a dwarf sage in time).\u00a0 I also cut back an overgrown ligustrum.\u00a0 I still have to cut back the suckers on the rest of the hedges.\u00a0 Mr. L finished replacing the upstairs bathroom medicine cabinet replacement project.<\/p>\n

The most challenging part was engineering and building the support for the light, and he did a lovely job.<\/p>\n

The downstairs bathroom is next on his list, but I’m not sure when he has it penciled in to do the work.\u00a0 I turned the compost pile and added water.<\/p>\n

We still have a massive to do list, but we’re chipping away at it a little at a time.<\/p>\n
