She wrestles with Floyd (who is very gentle with her) and gets put in her place every now and again by Ajax (who wisely sees a need to remind her that she isn’t the Alpha cat just yet). She brushes by Lady and Natasha who generally let her pass. She plays with Tarzan and the ferals.

Floyd is funny. Sometimes he wants brief moments of attention, but he also tends to hide on a shelf behind a piece of cardboard we have set up as a shield. If I don’t find him in the window or a corner of the living room, I can usually find him on this shelf.

I had to make a run to Central Texas this week to check on the house after the freezing weather. I got there in the afternoon during the time Sneaky is usually not available (she seems to have rounds somewhere she goes on in mid-afternoon, so she doesn’t respond to being called from under the house), so I didn’t see her. The amount of food in the feeder was normal for what she usually leaves for her late afternoon snack, so at this point, I’m believing she’s just fine.

Natasha has been sneezing for about a month. I may have to ask about that next time I’m at the vet’s when Dr. Val is there.

Ruby is becoming more and more attuned to being petted and getting tummy rubs. Delta is, too. Delta, Floyd, and Ruby are becoming more at ease with human interaction. Delta is usually the warm “brick” laying next to my feet at night. Natasha sleeps on whatever side of me is up at night.

Tarzan is more interested in being petted. He likes to jump up on our laps and he stands as if he’s in a dog show, and we’re supposed to pet him. He would take “Best in Show” with his stance. Ajax is just a glue cat. Everyone seems to be doing well.

Lady is a couple of weeks into her Reconcile prescription. We haven’t felt a need to cage her at all this week. We’ve heard no altercations. We have heard some growling when Lady strays too close to where Rossie is ensconced, but so far, Lady has respected her space. We’ve … Continue reading →

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[77

post-6988","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-pets
["GET
