A special Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, Nancy.\u00a0 Mother to six, grandmother to eight, great grandmother to four.\u00a0 She’s a mainstay of our family who, in conjunction with my dad, held us all together through our formative years, guiding four children to adulthood and seeing them become responsible citizens. They took on the responsibility of raising one grandchild as well.<\/p>\n
We were brought up in the church, and I’ve always appreciated that (I know it wasn’t obvious at the time, Mom and Dad).\u00a0 My religious upbringing has given me a solid foundation upon which to build my adult life.<\/p>\n
I’m more fortunate than many of my friends — Mom is still with us. While she has significant health issues, she’s not letting any of them slow her down, and I admire her perseverance.<\/p>\n
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.\u00a0 Thank you for all you’ve done for me through the years and your continued love and prayers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
