The cats and I returned from a couple of weeks in San Antonio.\u00a0 Everyone got their August dose of Revolution when they were released from their carrier.\u00a0 Nobody was particularly happy about that.\u00a0 I petted Sneaky on the side porch for a little while before administering her dose, and I think I got more on me than on her. She does not like that.<\/p>\n

The game camera I was monitoring the outside feeder with ran out of battery juice on the 25th, and before that, it stopped taking videos.\u00a0 Even so, from the 14th to the 25th, I found some interesting observations.<\/p>\n

Big Gray ate all the food.\u00a0 Sneaky made no on camera appearances after the 18th. This cat did appear on the 16th:\"Daphne-like<\/p>\n

It looks an awful lot like Daphne.\u00a0 It could be a sibling of hers.\u00a0 This cat made numerous (unsuccessful) attempts to open the feeder.<\/p>\n

The black kitty made a return visit on the morning of the 18th:\"black<\/p>\n

Big Gray made himself quite at home while we weren’t here.\u00a0 He did some yoga:\"yoga<\/p>\n

He sat on the window sill to get a better view of the feeder as he waited for the food to drop:\"window<\/p>\n

He stre-e-e-tched:\"stretching\"<\/p>\n

Sneaky was not to be outdone in the stretching department:\"Sneaky<\/p>\n

I wish I knew what was outside the frame on this one:\"on<\/p>\n

Big Gray can do downward facing dog, too:\"Downward<\/p>\n

Look how his tail curls?\"curled<\/p>\n

I guess after Big Gray hogging the food for a couple days in a row, Sneaky found someplace else to eat until we got home.\u00a0 Big Gray appears to be a voracious eater.\u00a0 He checks the feeder every couple of hours.<\/p>\n

I’m going to clean it and replace the batteries tomorrow, which means I have to reprogram it (a very big pain in the neck to do).\u00a0 I think I’m going to program it to drop food twice a day a couple of hours apart.\u00a0 I also need to see if I can catch Big Gray this week to take him to Dr. Val.\u00a0 That means the trap will be coming out on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

I suppose I need a better name than Big Gray for this fella, too.\u00a0 We’ll be pondering that, but if anything comes to mind, please suggest.<\/p>\n

As for the other cats, everyone seems happy enough to be home.\u00a0 Ruby will no longer let me approach her after being very approachable in the San Antonio garden window.\u00a0 The difference in that cat between the two houses in night and day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
