Mr. L called me (upstairs to downstairs) on the phone to give me the latest breakthrough with Rossie. She turned her back on him to get a drink while they were in the same room. He thinks this is the first time she’s done this.<\/p>\n
Natasha’s foster mommy suggested we isolate Rossie to help her build her confidence and keep the other cats from picking on her.\u00a0 Mr. L believes he’s been making progress with Rossie and feels that would result in a set back with his work with her, so for now, we’ll defer to him.<\/p>\n
Everyone else is doing well. No particular antics or anything to report.<\/p>\n
In the outside cat world, we saw Walter, Sneaky, and Boomer for Thanksgiving, and Sneaky was hanging around on Friday.\u00a0 At some point, I’m going to need to try to trap Boomer, but we don’t see him on a regular enough basis to be able to predict that, and I don’t want to stress either Sneaky or Walter.\u00a0 For now, Boomer appears healthy and comes by regularly to eat. He and Walter both seem to know their name.\u00a0 If we’re not sure who is eating, we’ll call one of their names. The day before yesterday, Mr. L thought Boomer was Walter, but Boomer didn’t respond when Mr. L said, “Hi, Walter” through the side door glass. When he said “Hi, Boomer,” Boomer looked up. Boomer isn’t as jumpy as Walter.\u00a0 Boomer has a tan undercoat to Walter’s silver. Walter has a dark and light striped tail, and Boomer has a dark and dark striped tail. Walter’s face is a little narrower and usually has a different expression on his face – fresher and more inquisitive.\u00a0 Boomer has rounder face and a more “you can’t tell me anything new” expression. Walter is more skittish and tends to dart away if we approach him. We’re noticing he’s not darting as fast, but this is a slow change. Boomer tends to walk away. (I fear this may mean he could be ill, but there’s no indication of illness.)<\/p>\n
