Note to readers: I have not “lost” any material where it disappears in the text. I never had it to lose. For whatever reason, while writing the first draft, I stopped work in mid-sentence (at least twice now) and never returned to it. If, by some freak of nature, you have never experienced this (but I suspect you may have), you really do not want to.
