I think I figured out the Mail Chimp RSS configuration (two easy drags and drops — why do I tend to make things harder than they really are?)
My trusty subscribers will receive three emails from this single post. I thank you for bearing with me.
- An email today from Aweber.
- Two emails in the morning at 6 am. One from MailChimp and one from MailerLite.
After that point, I’ll make a decision and turn off all but one mailer so you no longer get duplicates. If I need to do more mailings to reach a decision, I’ll create a special list for that and not bug you guys anymore. Thank you for your feedback and your patience.
Mailerlite has less subscribers because it has only existed for about year now. I am very happy with them. MailChimp has its points too. Mailerlite was easier interface for me so liked it better plus the autoresponder is not limited for the free version like the new feature MailChimp just added. When I had MailChimp before there was no autoresponder at all for the free version. good luck with your testing,
I’m leaning toward Mailerlite. After charting costs, it’s a no-brainer as long as ease of use is comparable, which it appears to be.
MailerLite Opt-in form created and installed on the sidebar. AWeber list deactivated. I’ll deactivate MailChimp list after I satisfy myself that I configured it properly with tomorrow’s mailing. Barring discovering anything unacceptable, I’m working to make the switch to MailerLite.
I am glad you like the suggest. I love it since I switched to Mailerlite and they are adding new features all the time. I am happy with them. They offer AWeber real competition in the price and ease of use area.
I like that they don’t count duplicate subscribers. In Aweber, I have 60 subscribers, but now that everyone is imported to MailerLite, I see I have 43 unique subscribers. (Probably details I shouldn’t be posting in public, but I think I can be “transparent” about this.) It is disconcerting to see stats in lists I haven’t sent anything to yet, though!
Just as an FYI I do believe I received the emails you needed me to see. I’ll have to take a look at Mailerlite and see if it’s something I might be interested in. I have not actively used my Aweber in quite a while.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ve been doing the MailerLite conversion, and I’m nearly complete. I have many things I like about it and only a couple things I wish it had that Aweber has, but neither are worth $20 a month or nearly $200 a year to me. (Nearly immediate blog post broadcast and the ability to attach files to an email). Scheduling a broadcast to go out shortly after the time I usually schedule posts should work just fine, and I have plenty of places to stash files, and I can link to them. Attachments would be great, but I suspect MailerLite may not have the cash for a robust enough spam and virus checker for them to risk their reputation yet.
