Reading PBOTL
I’m reading PBOTL for the first time. I’m on page 28. So far, I like it. I see a few things that need fixing–I think Inuit’s sister became a brother later in the book (if I recall correctly). A few things like that. Of course, there are a few typos and letters missing from words (but they’re still words, so spell checker didn’t catch them when I first typed). One of my main premises disappeared later in the book–I knew that had happened and made a note to myself when I realized it as I was writing it. That’s a major fix, and I need to decide what to do with it on the read through.
But would anybody want to read it? Is it too boring? I don’t know. Am I looking for problems that aren’t there or completely missing huge, gaping holes that any reader could see right off the bat? Why can’t I judge these things? I’ll keep reading. There are problems I do recognize, and I’ll work on those first.
