Good progress today. Got my words back plus a few. The comedy sketch will need reworking, but I got the first cut done. Thanks to RuthAnne’s Bob Newhart suggestion, I stopped at BestBuy this afternoon and picked up his double album–the one I wanted and coincidentally, the only one they had in stock. Yes, I stopped taking the “good drugs” yesterday morning so I could drive to my first physical therapy appointment today. So I am on zero pain medication at the moment. Don’t worry if I get grumpy–just back away from the screen real slow-like, and nobody will get hurt.

And it looks like I’ll get to go through this all over again in just a few weeks, because it looks like I’m a go for the PRK surgery on the 7th of March. I have a final screening on March 1st, and they could cancel for any reason on or before the 7th (And any reason they would choose to cancel for would be disappointing but OK with me–once they cut the cornea, they can’t exactly fix it. I want it to work. If it’s not going to work, I don’t want to do it.)
