I’m crawling through it. I haven’t become violently ill yet, so that’s a plus. I do tend to like what I write when I’m “in the zone” and not thinking about it. I also blush to think that someone else will read some of this stuff. Oh, my! And this is the tame stuff. Later gets, well, worse–certainly courser and more graphic.

Unfortunately, I think the best place for the opening scene might be around page 18. Sigh. I know this is a common problem. What do I do with all that cool stuff I had before then? I know.

I don’t imagine I’ve ever mentioned in this space before just how much I like to listen to Charlie Parker, have I? Heavenly.

Time to run through the physical therapy exercises. Tomorrow, they have new plans for me.

It’s amazing what a few minutes with physical therapy will do to get more blood (and, therefore, more oxygen) to the brain. I’ve had a perfect opening scene that had to take place BEFORE I started THIS one, and I hadn’t considered it before now. OK. That might work. I’ll have to sketch that in…
