And A Gaping Hole Appears in My Draft
My two main protags on in an office beginning a conversation, and the words end. How did this happen? Did they get deleted somewhere? I figured that was it. When I knitted the individual daily files into one big file, the end of one file got cut off. No problem. I’ll track down the original file and paste the rest of the conversation in and keep going.
No such luck. It’s truncated in the original, too. It’s the end of the file, so all I can figure is I got my 500 words one morning, and I stopped to go to work and forgot to pick up the thread at that point the next day. I’m trying to reconstruct what was happening that would have resulted in this conversation, but I’m not finding it.
Fine. I let the timeline fall by the wayside as something I’d catch back up with later. Later has arrived. I let it slide, because at this point, many things are happening, and it gets confusing. Well, if it’s confusing to me, imagine what it would do to a poor reader. I have to fix this. This will slow me down for awhile, but, as they say, no time like the present.
