No Longer Legally Blind (without correction)
I am very pleased to report the eyes improved over the weekend. They registered as 20/40 (right eye) and 20/30 (left eye) this morning when measured. And now that the bandage contact is out of the right eye, it feels very good. Of course, this means I have to return to work tomorrow. This past week has not been fun and games, though, so work sounds good.
I conducted my first test drive this afternoon and successfully navigated in a motor vehicle from my garage to the grocery store about half a mile down the road and back to my garage without killing anyone (as far as I know) with an interim stop at Subway on the way back. I am successfully re-stocked with salad, almond slices, salad dressing, and lime sherbet (since they don’t seem to be carrying any variety of Ben & Jerry’s Low Fat Frozen Yogurt anymore–what’s wrong with these people?). Oh, yes, and I nabbed another box of Goldfish Party Mix. Expect to see that stuff on a banned substance list soon.
I have done a little character building for Threads & Ties (working title) this morning. The two MCs are starting to talk to me a little more as we get more comfortable with each other. This one (so far) doesn’t have the cast of thousands found in Twilight. I’m not quite sure how I’ll balance my work time between this and Twilight, but I’m going to have to figure it out soon–I believe Twilight will return to the top of the priority heap after today. I don’t want to lose track of what needs to be done with it.
Please join me in snoopy dancing–both for my restored vision and for Holly’s HAWKSPAR completion. Yay, Holly!
