Rebuilt and Back
Somehow, I screwed up the database when I moved servers. I know what I did wrong but not how to fix it. I’m reading it in Notepad to reconstruct what I had set up here. I still have a few issues with some aspects of the website, but I’ll get them sorted out soon. I believe it’s navagable.
If you had a comment approved earlier, we’ll have to go through the process again, then you should be good to go.
Blogger’s problems were becoming a hindrance, so I asked around and investigated some “blogware.” I first tried boastMachine. After fighting with myself (I hadn’t used these capabilities on my site before) for a couple hours, it was quite easy to install, but I ran into access problems. I deleted it and installed WordPress. It was a very simple, less than five minute process, and, the second time, after I moved to the new server, it was also quite simple. I renamed from “Ranting and Ravings for Twilight” to “Rantings and Ravings of an Insane Writer.” This ties back to the original name for the writer blog which came from my high school trigonometry and physics class notebooks, which were titled, respectively, “Rantings of an Insane Trigonometry Student” and “Ravings of an Insane Physics Student.” I’ve become more advanced with age and experience–I am now capable of simultaneous ranting and raving. Ah, the benefits of age and experience.
This is the default theme. Fortunately, I like it, but I’d still like to customize it a bit.
/me looks around the new digs. Cool. Once everyone is here, let’s pop some popcorn and hang out. Does this mean its time to change the link on my blog list?
Great idea! Yes, I think now would be a good time to change the link.
