Bears at Twilight
As you can see, the bears made it back from their weekend foray. Twilight is coming along nicely, but I’ve reached the point where I have “Too Much Information” all bunched together, and I’m still not sure how to rewrite so I “trickle” it to the reader. I’m on page 132 of 335.
I’ve cut a considerable amount of deadwood from the manuscript, and moved a lot of scenes around for continuity purposes. I have to wonder how the timeline gets so hosed. I’ve made two overt situations less visible–they’re still there, but the details aren’t tossed into the reader’s face on a regular basis. One is implied and the other is acknowledged but I’m removing details. That the situations exist aren’t completely crucial to the story, but they add dimension to the characters.
Erg…backstory dump…I hear ya on that one. Trickling is the tricky part, but it sounds like you’re making progress, so good job and have fun! LOL.
I like the bears a lot.
I hate cutting words, but I always have to do it on anything I write. Maybe someday we’ll all be perfect … I won’t hold my breath. 🙂
