Weekend
The weekend got off to a slow start. I’ve managed to go from waking up with a post-nasal drip cough on Wednesday to not wanting to move by Friday night. I spent the weekend in bed, alternately sleeping and revising Twilight. (Thank heaven for my wireless connection and my laptop!) I made whopping good progress with typing in changes (46,561 of 92,268). If you’ve been following my adventures with this work, you’ll recall this means I’ve slashed more than 3,000 redundant or extraneous words from this document. I’ve also combined two characters into one. The book may never be readable for anyone else (although, it has some good passages), but I’m learning a lot. And if I learn well enough, someone else might find it worthwhile to read.
I missed the Prairie Home Companion. I may have been able to drag myself out, but I didn’t think anyone, especially my friend, needed to be exposed to my coughing, sneezing, etc. After snoozing most of today, I may be capable of going to work tomorrow, but I’d still like to curl up with my pillow and blankie.
I alternated TV channels between the NBA Playoffs and The Weather Channel. So far, the Spurs are up 2-1 on the series. The rest of the playoffs are proceeding about as expected.
And, if I want to continue feeling better, I better drag this carcass back to bed.
