I’m back, but I suspect driving from 6am Central time until 8:30pm Eastern time plays a large part in me being exceedingly grumpy. That and the four messages on my answering machine from someone who’d been told I’d be out of town last week at least three times–twice in writing. My hands hurt, too. My guess is hanging onto the steering wheel for that long was not good for the arthritis.

The good news: I have a place to live when I move to Montgomery. Just have to add some details to some papers, sign the lease, and send it to my new landlady in DC on Monday morning.

For now, I’m going to unwind, catch up, and try to chill out. More tomorrow, when I hope I’ll be in a better mood.
