Up, Down; In, Out
What’s up?
– I’m getting settled in at work.
– I’m starting to unpack the 60-70 boxes of books–or at least dig through them madly searching for certain books I’d really like for reference work.
– The grass is growing, so I’ll need to mow and trim this weekend.
What’s down?
– My writing focus. I have to keep reminding myself this was expected after the move and while getting accustomed to the new job.
– Hershey’s weight–the two-a-day walks and no access to other food bowls are working wonders for him.
– If only he doled out what I get to eat in return, but I’ve managed to lose a couple pounds as well–unfortunately, I need to lose “only” 85 more. Of course, it took me 13 years to gain that, it won’t get lost overnight.
What’s In?
– Presumably some really strange colors–or am I the only one who finds the offerings in the latest Bed Bath & Beyond mailer seizure-inducing? They seem to be trying to recapture the colors of the ’70s, but those colors were more muted than these (and they were bad enough, people).
– Hershey. He’s an indoor dog now, but he still doesn’t like be gated into the kitchen during the day and overnight.
What’s Out?
– The big polar bears. They’ve made it out of their packing boxes and have taken up residence on the five foot high shelf which, along with the fireplace, divides the dining room and living room.
Your turn. What’s Up, Down; In, Out with you?
