Books
The library is obscured now, but all the boxes are out of the closet, and the new wire shelves are installed–one of each side with about three feet of open wall space in the middle.
I’m thankful for a five shelf bookshelf at the office. I’m loading my rolling backpack to haul in a load of books per day until I get my leadership, military history, and any other related books on those shelves. I love that as part of the job I have to read. And I get time during the day to do so. Of course, in a couple weeks when the students show up, that time will become more constrained. I still have 8-10 boxes of literary fiction I need to make room for here at home, so the five shelf unit here currently double-shelved with the work books will be nice to have thinned out.
Still need to do the coat rack hunt. No rush.
There’s something about getting the books out that makes a place into home for me.
People who aren’t readers just don’t understand why ANYONE would need so many books. But a person can’t simply throw away an old friend. It just isn’t *done*, even if the connections no longer are strong. Glad to see you’re settling in!
