Twilight and TMI
I’ve been consistently uncomfortable throughout writing Twilight with the TMI (too much information) Factor. The villain in this book uses sex as a weapon, but I really don’t want the book to be about sex. (If you’re looking for sex, it’ll still be there, but I’m striving for a “less is more” effect.) For over a year, I’ve been struggling to find a way to reduce the number of graphic scenes I needed to write to convey that aspect of the story. Over the last week, I believe I’ve found a way to do just that.
Boy, can I relate to that…
You do know, now, that people are going to pester you about when it’s coming out. You’ve told them there is sex, and that’s all they’ll be able to see!
That could be a good thing. Is that a cover letter thing when you’re submitting it that you say have people clamoring for the work to appear in print? 🙂
Nah. Tell them that it has sex in it. They’ll be able to fill in the “clamoring” part for themselves. 🙂
